One of my new belts for 2017. The Douglas Handmade Leather Belt.

Made to measure for the perfect fit in my workshop in Mister-on-Sea, in Great Britain.

Buckle

A solid Brass Swelled West End buckle is used on the Douglas leather belt. This buckle is a traditional buckle design with great looks. Being solid brass means that there is no rust giving years of use without detracting from style.

Stitching

Three lines of Oakside Signature hand stitching. Using traditional saddlery stitching skills and hardwearing linen thread will give years of stress free use. The skinny belt version of this belt only has two lines of hand stitching so as to not detract from the small,  16mm wide skinny belt design.

Loop

A single stitched in, leather loop keeper is used to hold the belt end in place. It is blocked square and creased for a fashionable, and useable style. A running loop can be added if required.

End

The end point has a square cut bridle point to aid in passing the belt through the buckle and keeper loop. Five holes are hand punched through the belt, spaced at the belt widths apart (The traditional method).

Leather

All of my handmade leather belts are made using Baker’s Oak Bark Tanned Leather. A traditional English Bridle Leather source from Devon cattle and tanned by J & F J Baker and Co in Devon using traditional oak bark tanning for a superior bridle leather belt.
