Extra-Wide Dog Collar

Some big dogs may need a collar that is wider than 1 inch but don't need a a massive buckle to go with it. My extra-wide leather dog collar uses a 1 inch buckle and dee ring that tapers out to a wide back. This means that the part of the collar at the front is narrower which can give the dog more room to move their head down.

London colour Full Grain Leather is used on this collar. The leather is from J&FJ Bakers & Co in Devon, it is Oak barked tanned English Bridle Leather, perfect for your dog's collar.

The buckle and dee ring are fitted to a reverse turn (where the leather turns to the outside) this keeps the inside of the collar smooth and comfortable for your dog. Two fixed leather keeper loops help to keep the point under control especially as this collar was handmade for a young, growing German Shepherd. The measured length was to the first hole giving the dog 5 holes to continue growing.
