How to use a Conway Buckle

Posted by Simon Harrison on Sunday, November 1, 2015 Under: Belts
So you want to buy a Conwy Handmade Leather Belt but you are worried about how to buckle it?
Well check out this post on how the traditional Conway buckle works

Firstly pass one end of the strap through one of the loops. Pass the leather through from the back of the buckle with the grain side out (The nicest side of the leather)

Secondly pass the same point on the belt back through the other loop on the buckle.

Locate one of the three punched holes over the Conway buckle's centre pin and push it into place.

Next pass the other end of the belt strap through the buckle. This needs to be in the opposite direction to the first strap.

And then pass the same strap through the other loop on the Conway buckle.

Lastly locate a suitable hole over the Conway buckle centre pin and push into place as before.

And viola! Roberts your Mothers brother (a play on a popular term - let me know if you get it) Your Conwy Leather Belt is buckled.

So now you want to order one?

Simply search for Conwy (Check the spelling - It's a town in Wales) in my Store.
